My name is Katie Kieffer and I am the first grade teacher. This is my fifth year of teaching and my fifth year teaching at Marquette Catholic. I was blessed with this position after graduating from Clarke University in May 2012. I graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Reading and Special Education. I am a 2008 graduate of Marquette Catholic and it's great to be home! There is something about the school that has always held a dear place in my heart. It is a wonderful feeling to know that you are where you belong, and I truly believe I am where I belong. I am so honored and humbled to be a part of such an extraordinary school community.
I am excited to be nearing the end of my journey towards a Master's Degree in Education through Clarke University. I look forward to the abundance of knowledge I will be able to bring into my classroom.
I spend most of my "extra" time with my amazing family. I spend a lot of my time trying to win the heart of my niece. She has brought so much joy to our family. I also gained a handsome nephew this summer. On Sundays we gather at my Grandma and Grandpa's house to tune into all the big football games. With a split family of Packers and Bears fans, Sundays can get pretty intense. I stick on neutral ground and just enjoy the yummy snacks that everyone brings!
I have been blessed with two of the most intelligent, funny, and loving Goddaughters. They are both 3 years old and I cherish every moment we share together and I can't wait to watch them grow and change throughout their lives. I am also very excited to hopefully be their teacher someday!
My cute nephew, Keegan, joined our family this August. We are so excited to have a little boy in the family!
